2002-2003

OK, le premier épisode, je me demandais qui pouvait bien se prendre pour le nombril du monde comme Horatio Caine le fait. Je ne sais pas pourquoi il m'a donné cette première impression, mais je suis contente qu'elle ait été cassée tout de suite. J'ai douté du pilote. Et je suis désolée, mais la lieutenante Megan, elle ne vient pas me chercher. Au 3e épisode, je commence à comprendre Horatio, je commence à tomber amoureuse d'Eric, j'ai soudainement envie d'être l'amie de Calleigh, et Tim… Je ne sais pas, il est tellement mystérieux ! Mais tout autant vulnérable, charmant et attachant. Sans oublier Alexx, que j'adore dès le début, parce que son cœur est immense, et j'aime sa façon d'approcher son travail. Je ne sais pas comment elle arrive à décrocher après, mais pour moi, c'est une grande dame. Pour l'équipe de policiers qui les entoure, j'ai vraiment l'impression qu'on se cherche longtemps au début, et personne n'attire réellement mon attention, sauf peut-être la Détective Adell Sevilla. J'aime la femme de caractère qu'elle est ! Quand Frank Tripp arrive, je sens un tournant se passer. On sent qu'il gère ça, mais à sa façon ! Tout de suite après, Frank Hagen débarque avec sa relation avec Calleigh et Yelina Salas, la veuve du frère d'Horatio, mais qui a une relation ambiguë avec Horatio. On sent que l'équipe est plus complète. Les personnages ont de bons moments, les enquêtes sont divertissantes, mais oubliables, sauf quelques-unes, comme l'épisode de la famille massacrée, le pédophile et ses empreintes et la femme condamnée par les radiations.

OK, in the pilot, I was wondering who think that much of him like Horatio Caine. I don’t know why I got that first impression of him, but I am happy that it changed quickly. I had doubts in the pilot, about everything. And I am sorry, but Lieutenant Megan doesn’t bring anything to the series. At the 3^rd episode, I began to understand Horatio, I was falling in love with Eric, and I suddenly wanted to be Calleigh’s friend, you know? And Tim… I don’t know, he is sooo mysterious! As much as vulnerable, charming and lovable. And don’t forget Alexx, which I loved from the start, because her heart is sooo big. I love her method of approaching her work. I don’t know how she can let go after, but she is an amazing woman. As for the cops, I think they searched for a real team a long time, and nobody really was doing the job, except for Detective Adell Sevilla. I like that woman with character! When Frank Tripp arrives, I saw a new beginning, even if he handles things his way. Right after, Frank Hagen appears, with a cute fling with Calleigh and Yelina Salas, the widow of Horatio’s brother, with her weird and unclear relation with Horatio. That team seems more complete. Those people have good moments, the cases are entertaining, but forgettable, except for a few ones, like the family slaughtered, the pedophile and his fingerprints, and the condemned woman with radiation.

2003-2004

Cette saison-là est déjà plus divertissante que la première. L'équipe est parfaite comme elle est, je n'y changerais rien. J'adore tous les acteurs invités pas trop connus à l'époque, mais qui sont devenus réellement connus par la suite. Je ne suis pas fan du côté politique qui ressort de plus en plus, les problèmes à travers la police. J'ai tendance à tout mettre de côté et oublier ce côté de la série. Je me souviens d'une chose claire dans mon esprit et c'est l'épisode à New York. Le soleil brillant de Miami, New York plongée anormalement en bleu pour montrer la différence. Et Horatio qui débarque dans le bleu, sous un joli rayon de soleil qui se reflète dans sa chevelure rousse. J'ai trouvé ça tellement trop que j'ai éclaté de rire. Mais j'ai adoré l'épisode. Je suis contente que New York, même s'il est plus sombre, est moins bleu dans la vraie série dérivée !

This season is already more entertaining than the first one. The team is perfect as it is; I wouldn’t change a thing. I love all those guest stars, not all really known at that time, but that became quite big. I am not a fan of the political side with the Miami police. I tend to put that aside and forget that side of the series. I remember one thing vividly, and it’s the episode in New York City. The bright Miami sun, then the abnormally blue New York, just to emphasize on their differences. And Horatio, who gets through the blue and stops in a ray of sunlight that shines on his red hair. I thought it was so intense that I just laughed! But I liked the episode. I am happy that New York, even with its darkest side, is less blue in the real spinoff.
