She has worked for the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign for at least two decades. She is the global ambassador for the Estée Lauder Compagnies’ Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. Just before she became a model for Estée Lauder in 1995, she lost her grandmother to breast cancer.

She won a scholarship at 17 to study theater and dance at the London Studio Center.
