Il est guitariste et chanteur du groupe Manly Moondog the Three Kool Hats. Il possède une ferme biologique, une usine à papier écologique et un bar à bière biologique. C’est un grand supporteur de la légalisation de la marijuana et un strict végétalien. En juin 1996, il s’est fait arrêter au Kentucky alors qu’il semait 4 graines de chanvre dans le sol en guise de protestation. Il a eu sa liberté peu de temps après. Il a été propriétaire du bar à oxygène de West Hollywood, le O2.

Il a reçu un diplôme honorifique de l’Université York de Toronto pour ses contributions à l’éducation environnementale, à la durabilité et à l’activisme.

En 1983, il s’est fait arrêter à Columbus, Ohio, pour avoir dansé dans la rue et obstrué la circulation. Toutefois, il a réussi à s’extirper de la voiture de police ! Il a couronné son trip en assommant d’un coup de poing le policier venu le rattraper !

He received an honorary degree from York University in Toronto for his contributions to environmental education, sustainability and activism.

In 1983, he was arrested in Columbus, Ohio, for dancing in the street and obstructing traffic. However, he managed to extricate himself from the police car! He crowned his trip by knocking out the policeman who came to catch him with a punch!
